RUSSIAN ROULETTE

The New York Knicks are playing “Russian Roulette” and their front office hopes that it is worth the risk and pray that later on, they won’t shoot themselves on the foot. According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, a team official confirmed that the Knicks has secretly discovered a gem of a center in Russia and from all indications, they are now in the final stages of signing the 7-1  Timofey Mozgov. The Russian center is said to be an inside-outside threat and is a good fit to Mike D’Antoni’s scheme of things. Mozgov averaged 6.0 ppg, 4.0 ppg and 13 mpg for  Khimki Moscow Region in the Russian league last season. If the Knicks would get Mozgov’s services for next season, they had to pay his club $500,000.

"I don't want another team coming in and swooping him up."
