GREATEST PLAY OF ALL-TIME

It was game one of the 1981 NBA finals between the Boston Celtics and the surprising HoustonRockets led by the hardworking center Moses Malone in the Boston Garden when sophomore forward Larry Bird pulled off one of the most memorable moves of all-time. As Bird grabbed a midair rebound he shifted the ball from his right to left hand and then pulled up a shot behind the basket for a twinner. Then Celtics General Manager Red Auerbach is one man who is hard to please but when he saw the incredible "birdman move" he was all-praised.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. It was one of the greatest plays of all time. It was just a magnificent play.”
