STILL IN MAGIC SPELL

It is final, J.J. Redick is not going anywhere unless a good offer comes along. According to NBA.Fanhouse.com, Redick will remain in Disney World after the Orlando Magic matched the Chicago Bulls’ offer sheet of three-year $19 million pact to the former Duke University hotshot. Redick showed tremendous improvement last season as a sixth man after languishing on the Magic bench during his first three years in the pros. The 6-4 Virginia native posted career-high averages of 9.6 ppg, 1.9 rpg and 1.9 apg , while seeing action in all 82 games for the Magic.

“The Orlando Magic have decided to retain restricted free agent guard J.J. Redick, matching the three-year, $19 million offer sheet he received from the Chicago Bulls last week.

“The Magic will make their intention known Friday – the last possible day -- but NBA sources familiar with the front-office thinking of the Magic confirmed their decision Thursday afternoon.”
